H.E. Karim Kawar is the President of Kawar Group, a serial entrepreneur, a former diplomat and angel investor. He served as Jordan’s Ambassador to the United States 2002-2007. 

Ambassador Kawar is the co-founder and chairman of NatHealth, the largest TPA in the healthcare sector. He is the chairman of IrisGuard, a FinTech company that developed the EyePay® network. Mr. Kawar is also the chairman of Kawar Energy, the largest developer of renewable energy projects. Additionally, he is the Vice Chairman of Optimiza, a regional systems integrator. 

Mr. Kawar is the founder of ten companies in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT). He is also a co-founder and director of Oasis500, the Arab World's first and largest accelerator and seed capital fund. Mr. Karim Kawar is the co-founder of the Jordan Strategy Forum, founding chairman of EDAMA for energy, water and environment. As well as being the founding chairman of Int@j the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan. 

Mr. Kawar is appointed, by Royal Decree, to the Economic Consultative Council by His Majesty King Abdullah II. He is also a former chairman of the board of trustees of King’s Academy (2010-2015), former trustee of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, the American University of Madaba, Princess Summaya University for Technology, Ahli Bank, JWICO, United Insurance and the Jordan River Foundation, headed by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah. 

Ambassador Kawar was the architect of the REACH Initiative and REACH 2025, a member of the 100 Best Arab Startups Selection Committee, Global Agenda Council, Young Global Leader, Global Leader for Tomorrow of the World Economic Forum, Eisenhower Fellow, Member of the World Presidents’ Organization (YPO/WPO) and a Cofounder and President of Bridges of Understanding Foundation.

Mr. Karim Kawar graduated from Boston College in 1987 with a B.Sc. in Management, Finance and Computer Science.

Rudain Kawar is the CEO of the Jordan-based Kawar Group of Companies, which serves the MENA region in shipping, logistics, travel and tourism, information and communication technologies, real estate, energy, health insurance, services and international trade and development. Mr. Kawar has served as the Vice Chairman of Amin Kawar & Sons. Co.. He is the Chairman of the Gulf Agency Company (GAC), Pacific International Lines (PIL), Kargo, Al- Tawfiq , Amin Kawar & Sons Travel and Tourism , Kawar International for Trade and Development, and Al-Riyah Real Estate Development Co.

Mr. Rudain Kawar is also a board member of Maersk– Jordan, The Vice Chairman of Aqaba Logistics Village (ALV), and also a member of the International Chamber of Commerce based in Paris. Mr. Kawar is a member of the ICC Commercial Crime Services (CCS) based in London, and member of the Multiport Ship Agencies Network, London. MSAN is an international Club consisting of 171 leading ship agents spread out 1500 ports. He has been a member since its foundation in 1978, and previously served as the Chairman of the Shipping Agents Association in Jordan.

In 2008, Mr. Kawar initiated and became the Vice Chairman of Kawar Energy, a developer of clean, green and sustainable energy projects. As a pioneer in Jordan's ICT sector, Mr. Rudain Kawar is a principal shareholder and Chairman of “Optimiza”, a public Shareholding company which invests in ICT, human capital, management and business consulting. He is the Vice Chairman of IrisGuard; a company specialized in iris recognition technologies. Board member of Oasis 500, an initiative to select, train and fund 500 tech ventures in 5 years. 

In the sector of healthcare, Mr. Rudain Kawar is the Vice Chairman of NatHealth, a third-party administrator for medical insurance.

Stemming from his sense of social responsibility, Mr. Rudain Kawar is a Board Member of Injaz, a notion to inspire and prepare Jordanian youth and enhance their opportunities to join the market. As well as being a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), and other business and philanthropic associations. Mr. Kawar is the Honorary Consul General of Denmark in Amman – Jordan and Chairman of the Jordanian Scandinavian Friendship Association.

Mr. Kawar is a 1985 graduate of Boston College, USA, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Sciences, alongside an MBA. 

Mr. Khaled S. Masri is the President of the Arab Supply & Trading Co. (ASTRA Group). It is a diversified company with presence in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Their business activity includes Agricultural, Trading, Construction,

Real Estate, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Plastics, Telecommunications, Hospitality and Banking activities.

Mr. Masri also serves as the Chairman of Ayla Oasis Development Co., a multi- faceted tourism and real estate Development Company, and the Vice-Chairman of Zara Investment Holding Co., the leading hospitality company in Jordan. Mr. Khaled Masri is also the Deputy Chairman at the Arab Bank, and also sits on the board of the Royal Air Academy.

Mr. Masri holds a MBA from Georgetown University and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T).

Mr. Imad Malhas co-founded IrisGuard, the world’s leading supplier of novel end-to-end iris recognition biometric technology providing large-scale targeted aid payments for humanitarian assistance, in 2001. IrisGuard UK Ltd has its headquarters and manufacturing base in Milton Keynes, UK and a regional office in Amman, Jordan. He serves the organization as both its CEO and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). 

Mr. Imad pioneered the concept of using iris recognition to secure mass-transit national borders and large scale cross-country registration of millions of UNHCR refugees in the Middle East. In 2008, he led IrisGuard's deployment of the world’s first iris-enabled ATM machines, which to date have processed over half a billion dollars in cash. In 2013, Mr. Imad spearheaded the development of the IrisGuard EyePay® platform, the world's first and only iris-enabled retail point of sale (POS) that is currently used by the United Nations World Food Programme in a number of supermarkets in refugee camps across MEA. The EyePay® platform is integrated with leading-edge Blockchain technology to ensure transparency by replacing the private key with the human eye.

With the mission of empowering financial inclusion in the blink of an eye, Imad has successfully lead the effort to develop IrisGuard’s EyePay® Phone, the world’s first mobile phone able to transact with millions of beneficiaries using mobile wallets and other direct cash-out payments using only the eye, while ensuring the vulnerable and the unbanked enjoy dignified financial inclusion that they most need. The level of accountability provided by the EyePay® platform is unprecedented and ensures fraud elimination and fair targeted distribution of financial assistance funds of both global government and private sector donors such as USAID, DFID, GIZ and ECHO.

Imad is also the co-inventor on many international patents, as well as an Endeavour Entrepreneur since 2009 and was awarded the CEO Today Europe Award in 2018.

Tamam holds a Ph.D. in Politics from the University of Exeter; a Master in City Planning degree with a focus on International Development and Regional Planning and bachelor degrees in Urban Planning and Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Tamam began her career as a member of the Jordan National Competitiveness Team at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. She then moved to the Jordan Agency for Enterprise and Investment Development, part of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and later worked with the Greater Amman Municipality. Tamam also worked as a consultant to clients from the private and public sectors, as well as international donor agencies. Today Tamam is the CEO of the Crown Prince Foundation which works to fulfill the vision of “capable youth for an aspiring Jordan”, focusing on the three main pillars of: employability and entrepreneurship, leadership, and citizenship.
