Rudain Kawar is the CEO of the Jordan-based Kawar Group of Companies, which serves the MENA region in shipping, logistics, travel and tourism, information and communication technologies, real estate, energy, health insurance, services and international trade and development. Mr. Kawar has served as the Vice Chairman of Amin Kawar & Sons. Co.. He is the Chairman of the Gulf Agency Company (GAC), Pacific International Lines (PIL), Kargo, Al- Tawfiq , Amin Kawar & Sons Travel and Tourism , Kawar International for Trade and Development, and Al-Riyah Real Estate Development Co.
Mr. Rudain Kawar is also a board member of Maersk– Jordan, The Vice Chairman of Aqaba Logistics Village (ALV), and also a member of the International Chamber of Commerce based in Paris. Mr. Kawar is a member of the ICC Commercial Crime Services (CCS) based in London, and member of the Multiport Ship Agencies Network, London. MSAN is an international Club consisting of 171 leading ship agents spread out 1500 ports. He has been a member since its foundation in 1978, and previously served as the Chairman of the Shipping Agents Association in Jordan.
In 2008, Mr. Kawar initiated and became the Vice Chairman of Kawar Energy, a developer of clean, green and sustainable energy projects. As a pioneer in Jordan's ICT sector, Mr. Rudain Kawar is a principal shareholder and Chairman of “Optimiza”, a public Shareholding company which invests in ICT, human capital, management and business consulting. He is the Vice Chairman of IrisGuard; a company specialized in iris recognition technologies. Board member of Oasis 500, an initiative to select, train and fund 500 tech ventures in 5 years.
In the sector of healthcare, Mr. Rudain Kawar is the Vice Chairman of NatHealth, a third-party administrator for medical insurance.
Stemming from his sense of social responsibility, Mr. Rudain Kawar is a Board Member of Injaz, a notion to inspire and prepare Jordanian youth and enhance their opportunities to join the market. As well as being a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), and other business and philanthropic associations. Mr. Kawar is the Honorary Consul General of Denmark in Amman – Jordan and Chairman of the Jordanian Scandinavian Friendship Association.
Mr. Kawar is a 1985 graduate of Boston College, USA, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Sciences, alongside an MBA.
